Es fuente importante para el estudio de la poesía de Fray Luis de León, de Diego Hurtado de Mendoza y de Fray Melchor de la Serna. De gran interés también para el estudio de otros poetas mayores del último tercio del siglo XVI. Contiene muchos romances nuevos, poesía religiosa y poesía erótica

ABSTRACT: This poetic manuscript is fundamental for the study of Fray Luis’ poetry as well as the poetry of important poets of the last thirty years of the 16th century, such as Francisco de Figueroa, Diego Hurtado de Mendoza, Fray Melchor de la Serna and other well known poets of the period. This article is a complete inventory of the contents with annotations for each poem, refering to manuscript, printed sources and other relevant information
